I love fruity margaritas, but not if they taste like syrup like they sometimes do at bars. I want to taste the tequila but not be overwhelmed by it.

Luckily, they’re so easy to make yourself it’s absurd that this isn’t a regular Friday night thing. Let’s make that our thing, shall we?

They’ll come together in 3 minutes and you can keep the strawberries in the freezer indefinitely, so you probably got everything you need already on hand!

As usual, real lime juice is crucial here – don’t use the bottled stuff. You’ll taste it. And simple syrup is crazy easy to make yourself, so don’t waste your money on the store-bought stuff.

If you have fresh strawberries, you can sub them in for frozen and double the ice. Go easy on the simple syrup, the amount will change based on the sweetness of the strawberries.

You can substitute in just about any fruits here, just make sure they’re actually flavorful. Sometimes frozen fruit tastes bland to me, so it makes for boring drinks.

There’s not much to say here – just blend and sip! Salted rims and fun cocktail glasses are encouraged but optional.

Fruity margaritas not your thing? Try the classic version, but beware – they’re strong.

What are your favorite summer sips? I’m always on the hunt for the next thing to try!
