My Thanksgiving Menu

Hosting Thanksgiving this year and don’t know where to start? Today I’m sharing the perfect Thanksgiving menu to feed a crowd!

Living the expat life means two things when it comes to Thanksgiving.

First, thanksgiving feels more important to me than in previous years. It’s already one of my favorite holidays and I look forward to the meal almost as much as Christmas. But living outside of the US adds even more nostalgia, if that’s even possible.

Second, living here but having a spouse on an American schedule means that these are precious days off to travel. We’re planning a getaway for the long weekend, as are most of our friends. Ergo, we’re not celebrating Thanksgiving on actual Thanksgiving day.

All of that to say: I’m essentially treating the entire month of November as Thanksgiving to maximize eating all our favorite goodies!

So to inspire your own table this year, I’m sharing my dream Thanksgiving menu!

The main event: turkey, of course. All my top tips and recommendations are rounded up in one place! I’m a big believer in brining! I brine the bird for 24 hours in a mixture of seasonings before roasting it.

Also, don’t forget that Thanksgiving is a team sport. Don’t love pies? Ask someone else to bring them! Turkey not your thing? See who else might brave the bird.
