WHY I'M STILL POSTING TRAVEL CONTENT⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's a constant question: should travel bloggers and writers be sharing travel content right now? Given that so much of the world can't or shouldn't be traveling, I get why some say no. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Plus at times it feels like anything I post is distracting from the larger issue of police brutality and racial inequality. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I change my mind approximately twelve times a day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But two things bring me back. One is that living in Italy, I am traveling. With lots of protective measures and only to certain places, but travel is happening. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
More importantly, in times as crazy as these, I need some hope. When we were in lockdown for three months, I needed something to feed my wanderlust and remind me this wasn't going to be forever. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I made lists of places I wanted to visit. I pinned blog posts of destination guides and travel tips. And I scrolled through my favorite Instagram accounts for beautiful places in the world. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So I keep posting. I hear you if that's not what you need right now, no worries! Goodness knows we each need to find what works for us. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But I want to keep offering the truth that this won't be forever. And when we're through this, we'll travel the world again. Promise. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
